This is another one of the recipes that I don't think has a legit recipe name to it. Its a very easy recipe once again and very delicious. The only "cooking" you have to do with this one is make the mashed potatoes, but I use instant taters in this one and it takes about 5 minutes to do that. You can either make this with sliced cheese or shredded.
1 Pack Bar S Hotdogs ($0.98 for 8 @Walmart)
1 Box Great Value Instant Mashed Potatoes ($1.33 for 15.3oz box @Walmart)
1 Bag Great Value Shredded Cheese ($2.38 for 8oz bag @Walmart)
Preheat oven 350°F/177°C. Prepare your mashed potatoes to the box instructions or if using real potatoes, until they are tender when pierced with a fork and whip them into mashed potatoes with butter and milk. Slice hotdogs lengthwise, but do not cut in half and put them on a baking sheet. Spread them apart the best you can without tearing them in half. Evenly place potatoes in the hotdogs and bake for about 10 minutes. Take them out and place cheese on top of the potatoes and bake again until the cheese and completely melted. Take out and enjoy.
Prices may vary depending on where you shop or live. The total cost for this meal is $4.69 plus tax. You can substitute the shredded cheese for sliced cheese, but it may take a bit longer for the cheese to melt. If you don't like cheese you can always put sour cream or just have them plain like I usually do. If you decide to have them plain, I recommend you season the potatoes with seasoned salt, makes it taste so much better.
