Simple Meatball Marinara Sandwiches

Now this recipe is so simple and easy to make. Depending on what kind of meatballs you buy or make, you don't really have any cooking to really do, just heating the meatballs up. If you have garlic powder and butter, you can make a nice garlic butter to spread on the french bread to give it a bit more flavor.

Ingredients:

1 Pack Great Value Italian Style Pork Meatballs ($3.23 @Walmart)

1 Can Great Value Marinara Sauce ($1.28 @Walmart)

1 Freshness Guaranteed French Bread ($1.00 @Walmart)

1 Bag Great Value Provolone Cheese ($1.84 @Walmart)

1 Bottle Great Value Dried Oregano Leaves ($0.98 @Walmart)

Preheat oven 350. Cook the meatballs on medium low until fully cooked. (If using fully cooked meatballs, just thaw them out or cook them to make sure they are warm.) While the meatballs are cooking cut the french bread in half; lengthwise and put on a baking sheet. When the meatballs are either fully cooked or very close to being fully cooked, add the marinara sauce of your choice and fully incorporate the meatballs. Add as much or little of oregano to the mixture and cook about a minute or two longer or until the meatballs brown all over. Spoon meatballs and sauce onto the french bread as evenly as possible. Add more oregano at this step if you wish. Drape the cheese right on top of the meatballs and bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling a bit. Pull out and enjoy this simple yet delicious sandwich.

Prices may vary depending on where you shop or live. The grand total for this recipe comes in at $8.33. You can easily make this even cheaper if you can find a good deal of bulk meatballs or even have some in your freezer. I do shop at Walmart mostly for all my recipes, so I know other stores like Aldi, Trader Joes, Sav A Lot etc. will have better deals, but I just haven't been inside of those stores in a long time just because the local Walmart is the closest store to me. Feel free to use whatever store you please, just giving an outline of the prices.
